This is based on my initial unboxing, use and setup of the NGT425. I've found that there is an annoying vibrating/knocking noise when accelerating to high speed. This issue was resolved by tightening and tightening the air intake screws with a medium Phillips screwdriver. I bought this particular model in addition to two other Vornado models that I bought from another seller. I chose this model because of the adjustable vents on the front. The fan works well, just makes an unpleasant rattling noise. The remote control is of very poor quality. The fan circulates enough air but makes a rattling or vibrating noise that annoys me. This isn't Vornado's first product, but it's probably the first we've spent over $30 on. These smaller, simpler round fans were good for what we used them for. We have adequate central air conditioning, but sometimes it struggles with the living room on hot sunny days because of a very large window.
