This is a wonderful product. I’ve been using a heat pack made of rice for years since my car accident whiplash injury, but my doctor recommended the moist heat for bringing relief to deeper muscles. Compared to my rice pack, the Thermalon: 1) fits better, covering the whole back and sides of my neck and down to the trapezius muscles above the shoulders, 2) holds heat longer, 3) weighs less, and 4) stays on better with the attached ties (which are also long enough to tie around my waist for low back or stomach heating). It also has the benefit of being washable. It heats up fast, only about a minute or less in my microwave. It doesn’t have any scent, unlike heat packs made of rice or cherry pits. The only disadvantage is that it recommends that you wait 2 hours between each heating to allow the moisture to collect inside, but the heat will last a long time, so it’s usually not too hard to wait that long. Overall very good and practical item.
