The product itself looks pretty standard. From a short distance it looks like an original Ford badge, up close it looks good enough to fool people into thinking it's original. I installed this on a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT. I expected it to be bright white. It looks a bit yellowish and contrasts with the LED license plate light. The front emblem is 9 inches and the rear is 7 inches. Be sure to read before you buy. People complain that the size is too small or too big. Installation took about 30 minutes.1. Remove the 4 screws securing the back applique just behind the Explorer name. Don't pull it out all the way, just pull out the round rubber grommet that goes through the car and left license plate light.2. Remove the original emblem. You see 4 holes. Using the bottom left small hole, insert the wires from the emblem, fish them through the hole and thread them through where the round rubber boot pulled out in step 1.3. Press positive and negative on the license plate light. You will see 3 black wires. Use left and right wires and connect power from there. You can connect enough to see which is positive and which is ground. Once this is confirmed, simply stick it on and put everything back in place using the reverse instructions in steps 2 and 1.
