Review on ProForm 69510 Proform Timing Cover by Larry Sabey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This timing cover fits my 400 engine like a glove

I ordered the cover and found it a little lighter than my original cover but put it on anyway. I primed and painted the lid first, then attempted to mount the metal gasket that came with it. The seal supplied was too big and I opted for a cable seal because I didn't want to break the control housing cover by pressing on the metal seal. I must have installed the cable seal correctly because after 500 miles I have no leaks. I had to buy new (shorter) oil pump bolts as the cap has closed threaded holes instead of opening like the original cap. never mind The lid works fine for me. I should mention that I travel. I don't race.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Upgrades available
