Bought for a 7 year old boy. I also bought a set of spare stomp missiles as an alternative to airplanes. The rockets were a lot more fun. So much so that 3 other parents at the park ordered them online after their kids were having so much fun. Planes don't go as far as advertised and airtime is so short that kids can't really see what the plane is doing. . With a rocket, they can immediately look up and see how high it has flown. The main competitions were height and distance. The aircraft performed best when launched upside down at an angle of about 45 degrees. Seems counterintuitive, I know. However, the typical airtime for an adult to stomp was less than five seconds. We managed to get the glider to fly about 50 feet once, but couldn't repeat it. Wings flex easily and greatly affect aircraft flight, so this has become a problem. The original playing time was about 2 hours after opening. . We learned they played with rockets for about an hour the next weekend, but nothing since. So my recommendation is to skip the planes, buy a double stomp rocket with extra rockets and expect it to be delayed or donated soon. A few months.
