I use a lot of old monitors at work. Some only have VGA, but newer computers only have HDMI. If that describes your situation, then it's an easy fix. HDMI goes to your laptop or desktop computer, then you used a VGA cable (often with a blue connector) which you should already have connected to this converter on one end and a monitor on the other. No drivers required, Windows 10 seemed to know what it was without installing drivers.
