My Traction Control and Service Soon warning light has been going out intermittently for the past year, especially after reversing out of a cornered driveway from the latch up to the castle. I unplugged the lower arm A and cleaned the connectors on both sides and the problems were gone for a couple of weeks. But lately it was happening more often and then the "ABS" light would come on and stay on most of the time. I bought 2 new "Dorman 970-040 ABS" seat belts from Revain for less than $25 each and installed them and it stopped. all warning lights and problems. The most difficult part of the installation was connecting the cables in a place where there is room for manual work. I cut the wires as close to the connection with the big bundle as possible but where there was room for the connection. I used heat shrink plastic connectors and figured it would be best to use a vise to crimp the ends of the wires first. Lift the car high enough off the ground that your arms are slightly vertical for splicing, or better yet, on a 6 foot lift.
