The rear seat dog barrier was designed to be a solution for our 9 week old Australian Shepherd puppies who wanted to drive. It took our husband (12 pounds) just 30 seconds to get into the front seat. Our wife (6.5 pounds) took 5 tries. As with everything these two do and get into, we laughed. The barrier will come back into play when they are a few months older. The product is well made and has a great concept. The instructions could be a little clearer. Maybe I should have read the instructions a few more times, and it's also possible that the alpha males and females in the litter think they're just overestimating us.
