Keeps the dog where it belongs

I ordered this to keep our very active Goldendoodle out of the front seat of our 2006 Toyota Sienna. The barrier was very easy to install with many adjustments. The barrier worked even better than expected. It was quite well made and fit very well. I wish I had bought this item years ago. On our trip, everyone was safer.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Functionality

Don't waste money.

While this kept my pups out of the front seat, this was the only positive. There are no installation instructions. My spitz had paws up and the entire barrier was split/torn in a short drive. The dogs didn't scratch or paw too much, so I was very surprised at how destructible the material was. I think something made for animals will be more durable.

Love it well done, need more means longer!

Well we just put it in my car because I have two Yorkies and the eldest is so strong willed he will walk in front and sit on my lap! The product helped but it wasn't long enough top to bottom and she was trying to fit the center baffle so I had to wear a jacket to shield her. Please help, do you have any suggestions or additional apps that can help you!? Thanks that's well done but make me another floor I have a 2018 Buick Encore.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Happy with product so far

It took a few mini shoelaces and some ingenuity on my part, but I ended up with this thing that fits perfectly between the seats of my old Astro van. The mesh is quite tight so I don't know how well my dog can see through it but he can use the side windows. The main thing is that she can no longer climb into the front seat. I ended up cutting out a section at the top for my dog to rest his neck and head on so he could see the front glass between the seats.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Empty

Works well and relatively easy to install

Works well and relatively easy to install. My 2001 Ford Taurus doesn't lay completely flat because the bottom laces were a little loose and I couldn't tighten them. I thought that would be a problem, but it worked great. This is by far the best alternative to simply raising the armrest to protect dogs from unwanted visits. My pup is also on a leash with a buckle, that helps too, but it's a nice padded divider. I'm glad I bought it.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • No power

CALCULATED MONEY EXPENSES Best in Barriers

Wish we had done this a long time ago! Our dog respects it and hasn't climbed over it, but if your dog doesn't respect barriers I doubt it will work for you. It fits perfectly between our seats (2009 Chevy Silverado). Installs super easy. Keeps our rott from jumping forward when we're not in the truck and sticking her head between us for food or attention :) I don't like it either, just before we go to church, drooling on my sleeve, so that fits right in with the picture. No more nose marks on…

This may not be the solution the pet owner is looking for.

The rear seat dog barrier was designed to be a solution for our 9 week old Australian Shepherd puppies who wanted to drive. It took our husband (12 pounds) just 30 seconds to get into the front seat. Our wife (6.5 pounds) took 5 tries. As with everything these two do and get into, we laughed. The barrier will come back into play when they are a few months older. The product is well made and has a great concept. The instructions could be a little clearer. Maybe I should have read the…

Good barrier but nothing to attach the bottom to

I felt pretty good when I started installing it in my SUV as the top loops easily bypassed the headset and snapped shut (although they could definitely tighten in a bigger one - I put the slack under the headrest). But after much effort to attach the bottom hooks to something, I gave up and hid them under the second row floor mats. There is literally nothing in my SUV to plug them into. There are many electrical components under the seat, ventilated seat components, etc. Nowhere to hang! For…

A great idea. Not very durable.

We have a 5 wheel trailer and travel the countryside part of the year with two medium sized dogs. We bought this spacer to keep our furry friends where they belong and it worked pretty well a few weeks ago. Before leaving, my husband reinstalled the splitter in the truck and that's when we noticed the seam was starting to unravel. We bought a splitter in February while we were in Texas and used it while we were sightseeing. On March 24th we drove home and then to Colorado with the puppies…
