Fantastic weather radio to keep us updated when the weather is bad. We just moved to Kansas where the weather is often crazy. This radio will be part of our assault gear in case we have to go to our shelter. It uses 3 AAA batteries or you can plug them into an outlet. It also has a solar powered crank on the back. I took a video and tuned it to a station playing classical music just to check the volume. It can get a lot louder but I don't need it to go that high. The flashlight is also very bright, which is great when the lights go out. It is small enough and light enough to store or carry around. All buttons are clearly labeled for easy operation. It will be stowed in my emergency backpack along with my other belongings. I am very happy with this weather radio and plan to buy a second one soon.
