The boots from the box turned out to be very comfortable. The insoles are very comfy memory foam and there is extra padding under the heel in the sole of the boot itself. I also really liked how the stone taps have rubber soles that wrap around the bottom of the boot. It seems to stay "plugged" in the trunk much longer than some others. I wear between 11.5-12. I tried both sizes and found that both are too tight for my foot. So I returned them. If you tend to buy wide shoes or boots, most likely they will not suit you. I don't normally consider myself the owner of a wide foot.
