The boots from the box turned out to be very comfortable. The insoles are very comfy memory foam and there is extra padding under the heel in the sole of the boot itself. At first glance it seems like a decent boot but you get what you pay for. These boots replace a two year old pair of Lowa Zephyr. These boots don't feel as comfortable as the Lowas but until I wear them for a few months I can't make a good comparison. Got this as one of my boyfriend's Christmas gifts. They are true to size, he says they are very comfortable and his feet stay dry and warm. He's an artist and is on his feet all day so he finds them comfortable I would definitely recommend them. He also clears snow off our porch and driveway and keeps his feet dry so they're just really good boots and well worth the price.

I can't say enough about these boots. It fits great and is very comfortable no matter how long you wear it. I have foot and ankle problems so wearing these boots throughout the day helps me avoid certain aches and pains. Very durable shoes that feel. Looks like sturdy tennis shoes when cut off jeans boots. Went to the sloping metal roof and they clung to it like champions. I've been wearing them for a few weeks now and if a lace breaks I don't see them falling apart in a year. I'm 6'4" and 300 pounds and they feel like they can handle anything I throw at them. I would definitely buy them again.

Super comfortable like my other RR boots but the metal laces are so sharp the laces are very difficult to tighten and end up cut into the laces, even if you leave them loose enough. My laces lasted less than a week and although they came with a spare pair, they are not strong enough to withstand keen eyes (not sure the laces will hold up). The lack of quick laces on the upper lugs also exacerbates this problem.
