I am successfully working on improving my kidneys - no dialysis in MY future, thanks. I needed a convenient and quick way to suck on a little lemon before coffee or breakfast. A separate juicer and strainer was too labor intensive, and this retro juicer plus a clear Pyrex glass straw that was always kept clean and handy by the sink helped me get over the hump. Lemon in the fridge, cut in half, this juicer strains most of the seeds, pours them into a jar and sucks through a glass straw to keep other seeds out of my mouth and the juice goes past my teeth to save the enamel. (I add some water). My GFR and CKD show I have 30 year old kidneys in my 75 year old body! This is a great product I found when I accidentally broke a glass juicer from my mom's kitchen trash.
