I have bought other similar shovels but I can recommend these. It is made of thick steel and will not bend. I like the grip as it has a rubber coating for a good grip. The locking mechanism is strong, like military models. It comes with a heavy canvas pouch that can be worn around the waist. I will give it to my grandson to drive around in his truck. It has a saw blade for cutting small branches. It can be used as a frying pan in an emergency. A very useful tool.
