Review on 🎨 Chalk Style Paint: Eco-Friendly, No Wax Needed - Perfect for Furniture, Home Decor, and Crafts! by Bob Maldonado

Bought two cans of Rocky Mountain paint to paint my son's small dresser. The paint color was as stated in the description. Beautiful, stylish dark grey. I consider myself a veteran of furniture painting as I do it as a hobby and people sometimes bring their own things to paint for me. This was my first order from this particular brand. The first layer was easy to apply and I knew right away that I was going to like it. I waited a full 24 hours before applying layer #2. Again the color was beautiful and I was even more excited. I waited another 24 hours before going to collect the dresser and while inserting new hardware in the drawers I scratched them. The paint has literally peeled off. I couldn't believe it. I took my fingernail and "scratched" once slightly in another spot to see what would happen, and again. Right where I could see the original wood. The color was under my nail in 24 hours (technically it was 32 hours). I immediately went to the hardware store to buy finishing wax, which I wasn't prepared for as they claim no wax is needed. When I got home I decided to try another coat. Then the 4th layer. Same results. While the chest of drawers looks great, the durability is very disappointing. I used both containers for something that should have taken less than one and still warned my son to put something solid on the dresser. Too upset to repaint at this point. I had to go back to see if anyone else had this issue in the reviews as the original reviews I read raved about it. I noticed that other people mentioned the same thing I did. I'm not sure if it's possible that I got two "bad batches" or if that's the case at all. I'm just at a loss as to what went wrong because I've never had anything like this before.
