I'm guessing at this point because I haven't set it up yet. The reason is that the set of window panes is not long enough for my tall window (55 inch). I will say that the box arrived well packaged with all the details. The device looks very nice. I will add this to my review accordingly. I've read the tubing diameter Q&A and even asked what specific kit I can get that will work. I was told anything that was "about 8 inches" in diameter. Others in the Q&A refer to 4" to 6" hose diameters. I'm a little shocked that 1. I don't get a clear answer. 2. The width/length of the supplied window kit is not listed in the product description (at least I haven't seen it anywhere). Finally, judging by my tape measure, the hose is officially 5 inches, not 4 inches, not 6 inches, and certainly not "about" 8 inches. I found a kit here at Revain and although it specifically says it's for very specific models (this brand isn't included) it expands to what I need and has a 5" hose hole. I will continue later when I receive it. .NEXT: These are the two important parts. 1. Window ventilation kit. As I said, I need a bigger kit than what was included. I bought the only one I found here. I had a very difficult time getting the hose on both ends. Finally- then plugged into the attached item that matches the device. I had to be very creative to attach it to the element that came with the extension (involves buying a metal vent element and a drying strap). The device itself. Brilliant! Noise, but is much quieter than conventional devices. Wide range of settings. Easy to use. Have fun shopping. HEADS UP. This is my first device type. Fixings (on the unit and on the window set) It was not an easy task. The hardest part is installing the set of window openings. All I can say is be patient and put on some zen music. Everything else was easy. hp The hose gets very hot when the air conditioner is on, which is normal for such units. Right now I'm looking for an insulating hose cover with no exposed fiberglass.
