Works decently with mods. garbage without them.

I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews. a chance for it. Yes, it's a cheap divider/cage. But it's not that bad if you solve and fix his problems. CONS: * The strands on the stem are terribly cut. Lots of nicks and burrs that make the height adjuster very stiff. * The legs that attach it to the headliner LEAVE a permanent mark. * The tube is thin and wobbles after length adjustment. * The quick release brackets securing the horizontal dividers are too large for the receiving brackets. PROS: * Once you reverse engineer it, it's not that bad. What you need: Blue Locktite electrical tape What to do: * Assemble and install. *Now the main part. Note where EVERYTHING is connected. I used a black sharpie. Now unhook the vertical supports and remove it from the car. *Use tape on the threaded rods where they enter the tubes. The IT no longer rattles. *Use tape on any thinner horizontal tubes that fit wider ones. It will stop SUCH rumble. *Use electrical tape to wrap the quick connect bracket. This will stop THAT rattle. * Use electrical tape on the vertical tubes that the receiver mounts attach to. This will prevent them from slipping. *Once you have everything aligned, use the blue locktite on EACH screw. This prevents them from relaxing. Yes, it's a total PAIN to do. But I'm an engineer who likes to tinker with things and since I figured out how to fix my mistakes I figured it would be easier to just do that than box it up and return it and hope I'll order another one have better. It only took me about 20 minutes to apply the fixes and that was a break for a beer halfway through.

Pros
  • REAR SEAT VISIBILITY: A strong metal barrier allows a good rear view of the vehicle
Cons
  • Not sure
