Dial 520+ on Wireless Access Points

Network card is fine, signal reception is good; However, the 2.4 GHz frequency in our 2.4 GHz cordless phones is annoying (heavy crackling). Try not to transfer data while making calls (browsing, downloading, backing up). Another option is to add an extra wired handset or get a 900MHz phone just in case so you can talk and transfer data at the same time. As for the title of this review, I have a D-Link 900AP+ as my access point. 22 Mbit/s capable. Too bad I didn't pick up the few extra bucks for a 22Mbps DWL-520+ as a 11Mbps backup takes forever and it would be nice to cut that time in half. WEP (encryption) is much simpler. I've had a lot of WEP shutdown issues when mixing brands. If you're just sharing an internet connection, that speed is fine, but be sure to keep your router or hotspot high or you risk losing quite a bit. Offer. Consider the top of a 6 foot tall bookshelf or other taller open space.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Running
