Well the item arrived a few days ago and sat in the corner while I bought materials for making 9 gallon porridge. I was planning on pouring the mush into a couple of buckets as it did its thing but found that due to an issue with store bought buckets this wasn't going to happen. While filling the kettle, I grabbed a 5 gallon pitcher of drinking water from a known source and was surprised to find that after he drank one pitcher he wouldn't take the next. The best guess is that at 6 gallons the pot is within three inches of the top, which they shouldn't exceed. Of course, it's easier to reduce the set of ingredients than to add them during the assembly process. Had I known the boiler only holds 6 gallons I would have bought a different unit. Claiming that it holds 9.6 gallons is pure false advertising. I needed a large amount for the number of gifts I was going to give this winter and I wanted to do it all at once. I guess next time I'll just make my own, which I've thought of a few times, but haste and misleading statements are no good as messing up the whole program. It costs you, as a consumer, more time. I will be writing to the manufacturer and I feel this review should serve as fraudulent notice to Revain and I can just write to my attorney if he doesn't send me a 10 gallon can. I wasn't impressed with the connections on the tube either. They chose to use Teflon bushings instead of getting it right where any sane person would have used copper tubing and Farrell connections. Now I know why everyone goes to the hardware store, it's not just the seals, it's the fittings. It might have been a good idea to mention that the goddamn size was wrong.
