I hope you enjoy the winemaking Grate

Not all stainless steel parts. The tamper does not suck, does not run into the tub, so pointless. With a tamper you need to take a bath of alcohol and the consumption will bubble in this bath.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • makes me angry

Good quality product // Fair price!

I ordered a 9.6 gallon to replace my 3 gallon configuration. Now I can get 6 gallons of porridge in one pass instead of 2 1/2. Delivery took 4 days (great). Arrived today and I couldn't wait. Assembly was easy, took about 20 minutes. Directions were ok, could have been better. I ran a test batch of vinegar and water to clean the facility and check for leaks. Everything went perfectly. No leaks. I noticed that the thermometer can tilt about 5 degrees towards the cool. Next to. The setup is well…

It's good though! for winemaking starter kits

Hardware is supposed to be lead free, I'm not sure, I hope so. Haven't used a hammer yet because the pipe doesn't go very far, so I assumed it might not work as intended, but xs. It would be nice if the worm pot had an overflow so you don't have to sit and stare at it and play with the valves to balance the cooling water flow, but I'll upgrade it myself. It works and if it doesn't you still have a 9 gallon stainless steel pot which is very versatile as it doubles as a main fermenter or storage…

Research before using. Always clean with vinegar and water first.

The goods came in 4 days! I also have a 5 liter machine. Everything looks great. Couldn't start yet. Here are some tips. Always check all hoses and fittings for possible blockages. First clean with vinegar and water to remove all oils. Do this outside and let steam through for 15 minutes before adding water to the worm bucket. Then just clean with water before use. Do not exceed 210 degrees during cleaning as the seals may fail. And replacement parts can be found at a hardware store or your…

NOT compatible with induction hob

This is not compatible with induction hob as the seller says. No, that is not so! Wanted to return the item despite not being induction compatible and also missing connectors, but we did find a couple of connectors at the Home Depot store that worked and can be used on our grill. The seller was very aggressive about it being induction compatible, but I've had induction cooktops in every home I've owned and I know that if something works with an induction cooktop, it's not. The seller wanted me…

Mediocre pot Still the best for home brewing and winemaking

The documentation is mediocre and is more about crappy recipes than how to build and use it. The thermometer will fog up and have to be placed on the steam outlet, resulting in inaccurate readings. The condenser on the lid is a joke, the water in the condenser heats up instantly but should stay cool. To do this, the user must constantly add ice to the water source (bucket). There is no guide on how to use the striker effectively and why the small dome is out. The lid of the kettle shouldn't be…

Makes magic good for wine making

I've made 5 batches of 'stuff' with this and it worked great. The first thing you need to do is buy a pair of stainless steel washers to use on the underside of the silicone gaskets. The ones that come with the kit are too small and the gasket around them squeezes. The second thing you need to do is run a couple gallons of vinegar over high heat followed by 5 gallons of water. Be sure to clean and dry the seal after each start. into the pot and take an air hose to completely dry the copper…

Not anywhere near 10 gallons.

Well the item arrived a few days ago and sat in the corner while I bought materials for making 9 gallon porridge. I was planning on pouring the mush into a couple of buckets as it did its thing but found that due to an issue with store bought buckets this wasn't going to happen. While filling the kettle, I grabbed a 5 gallon pitcher of drinking water from a known source and was surprised to find that after he drank one pitcher he wouldn't take the next. The best guess is that at 6 gallons the…
