A Must Have for T-Mobile (2021) 5G Home Internet Users

These fans feel like they were made specifically for the new (2021) T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Modem/Router did. The T-Mobile 5G modem is known to get very hot, especially when the built-in WIFI 6 antennas are running. Many people have mentioned that the modems stop working after a few weeks or months due to the heat, and then the modems should be replaced by T- Mobile to be replaced. Some customers on user forums are buying refurbished modems at the time of this writing because the company doesn't have enough new modems to meet demand. Here is my solution to this problem. I bought two AC Infinity MULTIFAN S3 fans. The first fan pushes cold air from below through the interior of the modem. The second fan dissipates heat (pulls air up and away from the top). So I have an air vortex in the modem to remove heat from the internal radiators. To ensure air is properly directed through the modem from below and not escaping through the side panels, I use self-adhesive foam sealing tapes with average spacing of 3/8" x 5/16". The foam is easy to remove. if I ever need to ship the modem back to T-Mobile. The measured internal temperature dropped from 103F to 79F with a laser thermometer. I average 435Mbps down/90Mbps with peaks of 684Mbps/120Mbps after midnight. The fans are very easy to install as they can be daisy chained so I don't need a separate USB port for each one. I bought an AC Infinity USB port with fan boost to maximize cooling. PS To further cool the modem and improve signal strength, I connected a second router to T-Mobile, which actually does the routing and WIFI. This gives me the optimal T-Mobile modem location to connect to the cell tower while using my second router for my LAN and WIFI. difficult to get both optimal UM 5G and WIFI for my house. Both modem and router are connected with an Ethernet Cat6 cable. Review the photos showing how the screen protector and fans were installed. implement AC Infinity offers a dual fan option. Had I known that, I could have saved an additional four dollars by purchasing an AC Infinity, MULTIFAN S7. S7 is essentially two x S3. So for T-Mobile 5G applications, I recommend getting an S7 and saving yourself a few bucks.
