Great item! You can hear nothing but the rush of the wind when it rotates at a high enough speed. It took about 2 hours to assemble and install and when it came time to hang it required a second pair of hands. 15 blades sounds good as long as you don't have to clip them all together on the motor base :). It's not hard to do, it just takes time. You don't need an electrician either. Black wire to black, white to white, green to ground, and you're done. The bottom stem isn't too long, but it's perfect with our 10ft ceilings. Sloping ceilings. I suggest you buy a 24 inch quorum suspension and you shouldn't have any gap issues. The only downside I have is that the light attachment (sold separately) runs on the same power supply so the only options are to turn on the ceiling fan or turn the lights on and off separately from the remote. It would be nice to have them to get a 3rd wire for pre-fitted ceilings with separate fan/light switches on the wall.
