Whenever my husband uses my vacuum the brushes disappear so I gave him the old vacuum and bought a Miele C2 compact container 1) because it got good reviews and 2) because it has a brush case that attaches to the vacuum cleaner to keep them together. And of course 2 small brushes have disappeared. So I could spend $35 on 2 genuine Miele spares or $13 on 6 small brushes of unknown quality so I took a chance. My vacuum tube/hose/tube is exactly 1 1/4" in diameter, as are the nozzles. However, one of the adapters works on my Miele. The other three remain a mystery - presumably to other vacuums. I am very happy with this product .
