Review on ACDelco Gold 335-1196 Alternator: Unparalleled Performance for Ultimate Power by Terry Gernes

Update buzzes loudly at 2175 miles. The manufacturer could not be reached. I replaced it with another new one which is still OEM ACDELCO. I knew he didn't have a d-44 on the one ordered, although the picture shows it is. It's lighter than the original but I've got 80,000 miles on it and it's time for the pulleys and tensioner so we bought an alternator to replace the much older one. We have three batteries connected to the system and it charges all three even when heated and the lights are turned on at -25. I will update and report any problems or crashes if they occur. But it worked for 6 days and works great. Started making noise today. I've used strobe lights and the front and rear plows don't keep up as well as the original but it still does its job.
