This was a huge time saver and I am glad I bought it. I used to use a knife but was never satisfied because I wanted whole grains. After researching different types of corn removers I settled on the OXO Good Grips because it seemed like it would be easier on my arthritic hands and I liked that the granules were mostly in there. I found it very easy to use. . To get the right angle, I had to learn a bit. Also, you have to be careful when pushing the plunger and not squeezing the scraper in your hand, otherwise it may fall apart if you use enough force. When I started clicking instead, I had no problems at all. There are some cores that fall out of the container, but most stay in place. Of course you have to be careful when working with an object that has a cutting edge, but I've never felt the danger of cutting myself, even after washing it. Removed three plungers in minutes with minimal mess and no ankle pain, plus it's super easy to clean - love it!
