have not used mine yet, but everyone says it has dried up - that's how it should be. After MANY searches on the web I found the instructions (although this is a downside of this product - it doesn't come with instructions so I was also very confused) and the way you use this 'handle' is using one Blade or a knife to cut off the end and make it a rounded point. Then simply rub where you want the color and wipe away the excess before it dries. After a while the tip will harden again and you repeat the process the next time you want to use it.
