Review on πŸ› οΈ Enhance Precision with Shop Fox D4327 7 Inch Release: Must-Have Tool for Workshop Efficiency by Ramon Hood

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Quick release started to fail after 3 or 4 years

I was quite happy with this vise for the first 3 or 4 years. Then the eccentric nut began to slip when attempting to loosen the vise. Not sure if it's actually a nut, maybe the vise has some play that allows the nut to click making it difficult to loosen the grip on the vise. I've tried to troubleshoot the issue but nothing I've tried seems to help. Now that the vise is about 5 years old, they are practically unusable. I give 2 stars because it worked great for a while. Just don't expect this vise to last as long as a rugged vintage vise. Think of it as a disposable tool. Use it while you can and replace it when it fails. I'll spend more for a quality replacement. Buy once. cry once.
