Review on 🚗 Dorman Rear Jounce Bumper 523-049 for Chevrolet / GMC Models by Mike Sutherland

These are decent quality but made from hard rubber unlike OEM stops which are made from softer foam. The OEM is brown, these are black and a completely different material that has a higher hardness. OEM absorbs shock better. I ordered a new genuine GM fender (the one I'm holding in the photo) to compare and it's far better. Unfortunately I waited too long to return it. Other generic brands I've bought from Revain also have higher strength. Only genuine GM fenders are made from the softer shock absorbing foam I've seen. I think you get what you pay for, except they are more expensive than other generic parts that work the same way. I was hoping that buying a Dorman would perform better, but it doesn't. I'm staying with GM.
