I'm an artist/web designer with a hobby of photography and I care a lot about color accuracy, which is why I bought this monitor. It's definitely the best monitor I've had, but the ViewSonic seems to have issues with the USB-C ports. The display on the first one I bought would randomly turn on and off, and when I plugged something into a different USB port it would go haywire and quickly turn off the screen. There is another computer this monitor can be connected to but I tried different USB cables but it made no difference. I ran diagnostics on my laptop's USB-C port and no problems were reported, and I connected my old monitor to the USB-C port with a USB-C to HDMI cable and it worked fine , so the problem was something else. t with a computer. I contacted ViewSonic customer service and they were very responsive and helpful. They agreed that the monitor's USB-C port was probably defective and offered to return it for replacement. I didn't want to be left without my monitor while waiting for delivery so I ordered another monitor from Revain and sent the defective one back when the new one arrived. I didn't seem to be suffering from a broken USB port, but it started failing in the second week, like the first. Didn't want to switch it to a different monitor and hope THIS doesn't have a bad USB so I hooked it up to HDMI via USB-C and haven't had any issues since. Unfortunately I can't use the monitor as a USB hub with it, but I have plenty of them. A lack of connectivity aside, this is a fantastic monitor and the stand that comes with it is one of the snazziest I've seen. . Your customer service is great too.
