60% of stated CFM, no hotspots.

This is the second compressor pump from GSPSCN that I have reviewed. On this compressor I quantified the CFM to compare it to the advertised specs and found it to be well below specs. I also reviewed the device's form factor and some of its accessories that could have been better and more comfortable to use. By measuring the flow rate, we calculated that the compressor was delivering around 41 l/min, well below the 70 l/min specification. As a result, filling the tires takes longer than the advertised 1.5 minutes. According to our gauges, the compressor could be putting out about 150 psi. A tire repair kit was standard. The tools appear to be well made and can come in handy in an emergency when you need to fill a flat tire. The warning triangle on the side of the box was not of very good quality and was separating from the box when I received it. It probably won't stay on after being stowed in the trunk and while all the reflectors are useful, they won't be very useful. The built-in flashlight worked adequately, but wasn't very bright. The power cord and air hose were long enough to reach from the 12-volt plug in the center of the car to all the tires, but had to be stretched to the limit. The included battery terminals had ultra-thin insulation with minimal gripping force and no texture that made them easy to peel off the battery terminals. Due to the current draw, it is best to use a battery to avoid blowing the fuse in the cigarette lighter socket. The overall form factor of the case was quite large. If you leave the cover in the trunk, it slides and knocks. Our solution was to separate the compressor from the other tools so we could house it along with the spare tire and other small compartments. All ports were well sealed and I couldn't see or hear any air leaks. Even the tire nipple attachment was good when locked. No hot spots to burn your fingers. Even after running for 10 minutes there were no hot spots in the compress. If you found this review helpful, please rate it by clicking the button below. Thank you!
