Review on 🔧 Ultimate Efficiency and Reliability: Park Tool Falcon Freewheel Remover by Justin Hines

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big Tool Bug [Pun-Intended]

I looked through reviews of the Revain and found that it was indeed the tool needed to pull an old Falcon cassette out of my 2008 Mongoose bike. I was thrilled to read this fact and immediately ordered thinking I was replacing my old bike rim that was caused by an accident where the metal frame was badly bent. Once the product arrived I used a chain whip to hold the cassette back and used pliers (not exactly professional) to unscrew that cassette, twisting this FR-7 tool in between. After a good 10 minutes of fighting and the chain broke, the cassette still fell off due to too much pressure. I lost a good $10 due to a broken whip and made back about $10 because the good seven speed kit was successfully removed. Mission accomplished? Yes! The Fr-7 tool also cracked a little from the pressure, but holy cow, it held up to the heat much better than the chain whip. Rule of thumb for newbies (I used this tool for the first time too): make sure you have the right removal tools to avoid accidents and electrical damage. If I had paid a little more money I would have had a good whip, a proper verse removal tool which I used with pliers, a good Fr-7 tool and a bike cassette, but instead I'm going the hard way gone and technically lost $10. Use the right tools! Enough said. Nevertheless a great product, I can only recommend it! The cycling enthusiast must buy all FR tools.
