Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Ultimate Efficiency and Reliability: Park Tool Falcon Freewheel Remover

The FR-7 Freewheel Remover is specifically designed for Falcon brand freewheels. The shape of the FR-7 looks similar to the FR-1 (for Shimano , Sun Race , Sachs and similar freewheels). The FR-7, however, is made slightly larger to fit the slightly larger splined pattern of the Falcon Freewheel. To make it easy to distinguish between the two removers, the FR-7 has a silver-colored plating. The slightly smaller FR-1 is black.

Compatible with Joy Tech, works great

I used it at a cheap big shop with Joy Tech's 7 speed 12 spline freehub system. You have to pull the axle. Great tool for the price.

  • Weight
Cons

Great for bike tools and maintenance

This tool fits the Falcon freewheel sprocket on the Mongoose kids mountain bike I was working on. It was very tight and I ended up buying a 1" socket for my percussion gun since my adjustable wrench slipped off.

  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Hard to say

Worked great on a Schwinn OR2

I have an old Schwinn OR2 hybrid bike with a 7 speed freewheel. Removing and replacing it worked perfectly. I couldn't find anywhere on the web which tool to use, so I took a chance. It worked!

Fits Falcon Cassette

Fits Falcon Cassette. I have a Mungo mountain bike that I bought for my daughter at Walmart. The socket does not engage when pedaling. I didn't want to spend money on a new bike. So I got the tools and ordered a new sprocket assembly from Amazon for $15. Still waiting for some parts. But still better than $160 for a new bike.

Excellent quality, fits my Falcon ratchet perfectly

I had to remove the ratchet to fix the bearings in the rear hub. When I took the wheel off I saw that it said "Falcon". My cheap bike tool kit included a universal freewheel puller, but it kept slipping in the clutch. I read more about the Falcon freehub on the Park Tool website and learned the difference between the FR-1 and FR-7. This FR-7 fits perfectly. I was able to use a 12" adjustable wrench and unthread the freehub with no problem. The splines don't wear out after repeated use. My onlyโ€ฆ

Well made and perfect for Falcon freewheels. Loving Park Tools

Just what I needed to remove the flywheel from my Mongoose Malus. I'm new to bike repair and maintenance, only remember trying repairs as a kid. Park tools seem to be a popular brand and I wasn't wrong going to them for all my bike related tools. Designed for the Falcon freehub, the Parktool FR-7 is the perfect complement. With this puller, the freewheel came off much quicker than I thought. The slots are thick metal so they should last a while. I bought a 16" crescent wrench to turn the FR-7โ€ฆ

Big Tool Bug [Pun-Intended]

I looked through reviews of the Revain and found that it was indeed the tool needed to pull an old Falcon cassette out of my 2008 Mongoose bike. I was thrilled to read this fact and immediately ordered thinking I was replacing my old bike rim that was caused by an accident where the metal frame was badly bent. Once the product arrived I used a chain whip to hold the cassette back and used pliers (not exactly professional) to unscrew that cassette, twisting this FR-7 tool in between. After aโ€ฆ
