Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Performance with Truvativ Trueshift Chainring by Jay Williamson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Bad Shimano replacement. Also, it doesn't fit FC-M760 cranks.

Caution. If you buy a 44 tooth sprocket for the Shimano FC-M760 crankset, it will not fit. The problem is that the "chest" (for lack of a better word) on the outside of the ring that mates with the crank is too long. This makes little contact with the crank and will push the front sprocket inward a bit when you tighten the sprocket bolts (like I did!). standing, you can clearly see (and hear) what is wrong. Another thing to mention is that I really wish I hadn't saved up and gotten an original Shimano Big Ring instead. Shimano shift ramps are much better. They're like little hooks that actually grab the chain and help it up. With this necklace, there are only round pins with a slight relief behind them. I'm sure they're easier to make, but they really aren't as good as the Shimano version. Unfortunately I waited too long to install so I'll grind this chest or it goes to eBay. Not sure yet.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Difficult to say
