I first bought this for a Samsung TV that didn't have a headphone jack. There was an optical port, so I needed some kind of converter or DAC. That works great. I connect the optical cable to the TV and connect the USB to the laptop. The performance and sound are much better than a laptop. This is a much better DAC and a much more powerful amplifier. I've tried several headphones but I usually listen to my Sennheiser 650 connected to a Divlpoetry X6 Pro. It has more than enough power to power a Sennheiser. In fact, I can't push the volume more than halfway before it gets too loud for my liking. Lots of power, nice sound, good features, low price. What's not to like?
