Don't pass by. The original boot/shock will break before your new struts wear out, and bottoming out will destroy them. Assembling with them adds 1 minute per rack. Later installation will drive you crazy. The bumper acts like an accelerating spring, keeping your car on the limit when cornering. Also think about top mounts. Replace them or at least clean and re-grease the front bearings.
