Enhance Suspension Protection with KYB SB117 - Strut Boot! Review

The boot is very playful on KYB Corolla struts. I had to tie it to a post to prevent the shaft from being exposed to the elements.

I only have photos of the fronts which were for my 2000 Corolla KYB SB103. But the rear KYB SB103s fit just as well as the fronts with no issues with my aftermarket Koni Orange shocks.

Put these on my daughter's 2001 Corolla CE, the instructions that came in the box were easy to follow. Good quality boots, don't let the picture fool you, you will only get the boot and shock absorber with this one, the other part in the picture with 3 screws is not included.

Keep your new struts looking new much longer by keeping rocks, sand and dust off the machined shock absorber shaft. Wave buckling (denting) ruins a new strut very quickly with oil and gas leaks due to a damaged seal. Even cushions "reach to the floor" with new integrated bumpers! A good product

Don't pass by. The original boot/shock will break before your new struts wear out, and bottoming out will destroy them. Assembling with them adds 1 minute per rack. Later installation will drive you crazy. The bumper acts like an accelerating spring, keeping your car on the limit when cornering. Also think about top mounts. Replace them or at least clean and re-grease the front bearings.

A bit pricey but worth it compared to buying Toyota OEM. Installed them on the rear shocks of a '96 Corolla. The existing boot was wasted and worn out. Judging by the photo Revain had this was a steal as the upper strut mounts are shown but NOT INCLUDED. However, they fit well as they come in two pieces and are easy to install. You can use your existing top strut mounts, they will work just fine as long as you don't run into massive potholes or hit curbs badly. As a result, I bought two more…
