This is a really cool device, I can stream or share the screen of my Android, iPhone, Mac and Windows Phone without any restrictions and via wired connections. What's nice is that it supports Apple devices without an Apple TV. The instructions for setting up the device are the same as for the Chromecast device. - Connect the dongle to the HDMI TV via USB for power supply. - Switch the TV mode to the inserted dongle HDMI port - The dongle based homepage will be visible on your TV. Connect the Wi-Fi dongle via your mobile/laptop/Mac device. Once connected, open the default URL displayed on the TV screen. This page shows the most important configuration settings. If you want to broadcast from iPhone, please make sure you are connected to your home WiFi and can share your screen via broadcast. I have personally tested on Android, iPhone, Mac and Windows devices. For cross-platform devices, you don't need an additional streaming device. It supports 1080p content without any issues. If you're having lag issues, I'd say it's your wireless connection and router. A good wireless connection is important to deliver higher quality content. It supports 2.4GHz bands so it can be noisy. I would suggest keeping the device near a router or having a good router to solve this problem. I wish they had support for 4k content, I know it's more at this price point. For this price and support, I'd say it's worth buying for cross-platform streaming devices, no other known device supports this feature.
