Review on BonJour Coffee Maximus French Stainless by Steven Dahl

After exhaustive research I settled on this French Press (it's a long term relationship you know). The glass is strong (I'm a clumsy guy and I break everything when I can). I like the swivel mechanism so the second cup doesn't overcook. An "8" cup weighs about 32 ounces; so I'm guessing "one cup" would actually be half a cup (4 ounces)? Easy to clean paying special attention to the screen with its opening/closing properties. Copper is not 100% copper. More copper plating? It still looks/feels good but scratches easily. Carefully. The inside of the copper cover is covered with plastic. The BonJour website does not indicate the use of BPA-free materials. I'm still not sure if that applies to the lining of the lid or just that their plastic cup is BPA-free. Again, this is the curved part of the lid and does not come into direct contact with the brewed coffee. In general, the purchase is satisfied.
