My senior cat is 18 years old (13lbs) and has trouble getting up and getting into our bed so this tent gives him the perfect space relax for it. I put the heating pad on the floor along with his blanket to keep him nice and warm. I was a little concerned that he might be too tall to get in and out of, but he's only 7 inches off the ground and has no problem. I'm medium size and it's a little bigger than I expected but there's enough room for him to move around and his little brother (1 year old, 16lbs) can climb on and snuggle up to him too . The door opening is much wider than standard cat tents, which is what made us make this purchase. Arthritis makes it difficult for my cat to squeeze into tight spaces like it used to. It's a lot stronger than I thought it would be and is well made. It is also very easy to maintain, which is a must in our household.
