I have to commend this really smart tool, great design, very well done. First, this thing is simple. 125 grams for a multi-tool including chain cutter is really good. But that's not fair because chain tools are not all created equal. Most of them are flimsy things that lack the leverage to work (I'm looking at you Lezin). Here the ratchet is a lever, a much better solution. Some worry this isn't an 11-speed chain. It's not as important as it seems. The pin has not changed in diameter. The postal signs have gotten thinner and the lawyers are more nervous as a result. Use the tool to break the chain and take the main link to connect the ends. Even Shimano has given up and is now using the main link. The chain tool does not take full advantage of this tool. The ratchet is ideal for working in confined spaces. Get a bit extender if the short bits aren't long enough. Note that the end of the ratchet also accepts bits, making it a handy screwdriver. Add a small extension to the end of the ratchet and you have a tool with almost magazine-like leverage for things like releasing a pedal, a task most other multi-tools can't do. Note that most pedals now have an 8mm hex. This tool does not have an 8mm hex to point at. This is where the true brilliance of this instrument shines. They're not attached to the beats they offer. You can mix and match according to your needs. 3T annoyingly now makes stems with a Torx 30 screw, rendering most existing multi-tools useless. Not this one, just get a new beat and you're back in business.
