Well worth the money. Worked well powering through various size dead Leyland Cypress branches. Most at least 3/4" diameter. Some even more. 1"! How, just open wide set it and 1/4 turn CW & CCW around branch as you squeeze and click. Work it slow and you'll get a clean cut!This blows away any expensive ratcheting anvil pruners that are mostly made out of plastic.like Fiskars for example, I have had several from this "top brand" and is total junk made with plastic handles and about 1/4" of plastic at the pivot! (I give them credit for lifetime warranty but you have to wait several weeks to get a replacement.) Who has weeks to wait for a pruner!I ordered these the 7th and got them the 9th! These have metal handles and will take twice the pounding of similar expensive ones with plastic handles! I already did twice the work Fiskars broke trying to do!BEWARE As with any brand If it has plastic handles don't buy it, it will be junk and likely break!Based on reviews, one issue some people have that obviously don't know how to use the tool is the self lock. It is not a problem at all and If you find that is a bother just put a piece of tape on it to hold it open while using it.And for $8.99 it's a no brainer!
