I've always been a brand snob. This means I have a Nikon camera and only wanted to use Nikon flashes. I had SB-800, SB-900 and SB-910. A friend of mine introduced me to Godox and said they were as good if not better than Nikon flashes. I decided to give it a try. Godox V860ii-N pleasantly surprised me. I find it works better than any of my Nikon flashes. It can do everything a Nikon flash can do and then some. You can use it in TTL mode or in manual mode. It features an integrated 2.4GHz wireless radio system, allowing it to work seamlessly with other Godox products equipped with the same Wireless X system, allowing you to expand your lighting setup. Aside from the Wireless X system, it also has Nikon's optical wireless system, so it can communicate with my Nikon Speedlights when needed, so my Nikons aren't necessarily out of date. The guide number is 190' compared to 95' on the Nikon SB-910, meaning it's more powerful. With a lithium-ion battery, the charging time is 1.5 seconds, with the Nikon SB-910 2.1 seconds. Plus, with their patented battery, you no longer have to switch AA batteries in the middle of a shoot or event. The build quality is nice and solid. It doesn't feel cheap or flimsy like I originally thought. In the end, Godox is as good as Nikon if not better, but the best part is that the price is several times lower than Nikon's! I have attached photos taken with the Godox V860II-N.
