Great comfort and performance!

I am 6 feet tall and weigh 190 pounds. I run 700 x 28 Pro One tubeless tires on my Evergreen Seven, which is equipped with disc brakes and Reynolds Attack carbon wheels. I only drive these tires on asphalt. I find these tires rubbery and sticky. In the 4 years that I have ridden these tires I have settled on 60psi as the optimal pressure for comfort and handling. Simply unbelievable grip in tight corners. At 60 psi they absorb road noise well. They are easy to fit, although I have to remove the Presta valve core and inflate the tire with an air compressor to secure the bead. I had no luck planting them with a floor pump. Although, to be honest, since I've had a compressor, I haven't expended much effort to mount tires with a floor pump. It's easier with a compressor. In my first set, the front tire put about 9,000 miles in 4 years of use. I was amazed at how long it went on. I replaced it due to cracks and age, not wear. In the same time I changed 3 rear tires. In all three cases I replaced the rear tires due to tread separation when about a 2 inch piece of tread separated from the tire exposing the underlying ply. I believe that in all cases the separation was caused by the need to lock the rear wheel during hard braking. None of the failures happened early in the tire's life, but after the tires had run 2,000 to 3,000 miles. Overall this has been a great tire for me and I will continue to use this tire as it greatly improves handling and performance over tubulars that I have run in the past. I would like to add that this is my first experience with tubeless tires. rubber, so there is nothing to compare. That being said these tires are way better in terms of handling and ride quality than the tubulars I've used in the past and I don't see why I would try anything else.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Everything is fine
