At first I was concerned that this 150 model would be too large compared to the 60 model as this filter is twice the size of the 60. But one day I let it run. I'm very glad I bought this one instead. There is a flow setting that allows me to set the lowest possible flow which is very gentle and perfect for my husband as the soft flow doesn't bother my husband at all. I just keep the black sponge and use a Seachem mechanical filter matrix and an extra sponge to double the space for the biological bacterial colony. If you have a 1 to 2.5 gallon mini aquarium, this is the ideal hanging filter to buy. It's very quiet if I insert a thin piece of rubber between the filter and the outer wall of the tank to eliminate the slight vibration of the filter motor against the glass wall. As you can see in the attached image, the arrow indicates where the filter is, very shaded and hidden at the back so as not to obstruct the view of the tank. It is very important to have a filtration system in your betta tank to keep the water clean for the betta and avoid fin rot or other diseases. The filtered water keeps the aquarium clean, so you can enjoy your betta swimming and curious exploration of the aquarium.
