Update: After a few days of operation the Azoo seems to be getting louder. The vibrations seem to be picked up and amplified by my tank's frame and light. Turned it off for a few seconds to compare to 3 other filters in the room and it was like turning off the TV. The room has become much quieter. Azoo is still within the "normal" noise level for a HOB, but if you're looking for something quieter than the Aquaclear, Biowheel, etc. this isn't it. This is a great little filter for nano aquariums when used properly. I use the Model 150 in a 2.5 gallon tank because I need a well-ventilated environment for the types of shrimp I keep. I originally had a Mignon 60 model and it seemed to clean quite well, but I needed the extra space for more biological filtration as my pH 6 water is quite soft.
