You get what you pay for.
Considering the cost of removing and cleaning my Goldwing's carburetor, I thought it was worth the extra expense of a factory filter. Chinese filters at half the price of a Honda filter are so cheap that the glue that connects the filter element to the canister sometimes comes loose and parts get into the carburetor. Spend a few dollars more for a genuine Honda filter.
