I'll start with a 5 * * * * * rating because it works great when brand new. Over the years I've had three other 18 inch brushes from different brands, all of which started losing bristles within a few (2) years. This time I will rinse the head with clean water after each use and keep it out of direct sunlight. I just scraped some stabilizer granules off the bottom of my pool and when I rinsed the brush, much of the milky residue washed away. Also, I think long-term exposure to chlorine can accelerate bristle loss.” I will update this review from time to time. UPDATE 7/202013 years of use and the bristles started shedding heavily. A general decline in brushes used to clean chlorine pools as well as sun exposure ---- combination deadly for stubble. So average except replacement price is 65% more.
