I bought it in March 2022, initially I wanted 5600x, but the price of 27 thousand forced me to adjust my plans in favor of 3700x. It costs 4 thousand less (OEM), wins in multi-threaded performance, loses in single-threaded. In general, the 3700x is more preferable for work and I am very pleased with my choice! MSI B550M PRO-VDH mother, Patriot Memory VIPER STEEL PVS416G320C6*2, PCCooler GI-46U cooler, on Ubuntu 20 flight is great! Under stress tests (for example, phoronix-test-suite benchmark cpu), it heated no more than 85 degrees with PBO turned on. Decided to add about PBO. This thing works really very harshly and at the limit of its capabilities. Standard percent with a long load of 100% for all 16 threads gives approximately 3700-3800 MHz and 80 degrees. With PBO under the same conditions, it heroically tries to keep more than 4, but on my cooler it almost immediately gets into thermal throttling with a temperature above (!) 90 and a frequency of 3950. An amazing temperature difference due to the seemingly 100-200 MHz, most likely too aggressive and excessive tension.
