Ideal for tape but not for electrical applications. I don't see it lasting long enough or being thick enough to provide the protection needed. However, if you only use it for recreational purposes, the price cannot match the level of quality. The price is the same as the inelastic, apparently 100% plastic tape of the lowest quality, but it seems to be vinyl and elastic enough. Glue doesn't feel that good when you wrap something tightly, even if it's clean, dry, and even in size and straightness, within a few hours it will either buckle and fold or essentially unfold in a way you'll never understand will... use the word "tight" to describe how tight everything you were doing a few hours ago was. Also the width is about 1/8-1/16 inch smaller than the standard duct tape you are used to. It's fine, but it's another way to cut costs. In general, unless you're a wire harness maker or an electrical engineer, this will probably work, and with the price, even if you're not, give it a pass. =P
