I ordered a set of Weather Tech and Max Liner liners for my 2016 Ford Explorer and here are my results: GENERAL FEATURES: - I measured both liners and they were the same thickness. Thickness varied depending on the front pad and middle row and where on the pad I measured. -Similar non-slip surface and pattern. -Similar fit and coverage as you can see in the photo. rounded hem around the lining that provides more rigidity. I found this rounded edge keeps the lining from loosening at the edges. This was the deciding factor in choosing Max Liner over Weather Tech. Weathertech glides slightly easier into soil lugs than Max Liner. I ended up putting some lube on the maxliner to make them easier to put on and take off as they were very tight. After a few days of use, the edge tended to lift and create a gap around the flooring. The mid-range MaxLiners came out of the box very jagged and didn't hold their shape very well. I thought this would be a real problem, but after installing the maxliner in the middle row, the liner took shape and fitted perfectly. A scammer in my opinion though. Weather technology came out of the box perfectly formed. - PRICE. Weather Tech costs significantly more money and I didn't find it worth paying more for. Summary: I left the Max Liner for two simple reasons. The rounded edge made the pad stiffer and held it more firmly to the carpet, and the price was worth the savings.
